EPISODE 6: COMMUNITY BASED ORPHAN CARE IN KENYA
We are thrilled to share this conversation with Leonora Obara, founder of the Kijiji Cha Upendo Children’s Project and Linda Levin, Chair of Village of Love Canada.
The 6th episode in the Ontario Council for International Cooperation’s Tapestry Podcast series, our conversation is focused on the tremendous work Kjiji Cha Upendo has done, supporting COVID-19 response in the Kibera informal settlement in Nairobi, Kenya and the ways our Network model enables their work.
Tapestry 2030 is a new OCIC podcast and illustration series focused on the future of international cooperation and global solidarity, and the partnerships needed for gender transformative, sustainable development.
Undertaken with support from podcaster Safa Shahkhalili and illustrator Amanda Schutz, this inaugural series shares stories from OCIC members Bhutan Canada Foundation, CAP Network, CMETrust, Heart-Links | Lazos de Corazón, Inter Pares, Partners in Health Canada, Rayjon Share Care of Sarnia Inc., the YMCA of Greater Toronto, and their respective international partners.
It was an honour to be included in this series which, we feel, really highlights the value of collaboration and partnership as we confront global development challenges.
